The Resilient Lagoon Network West Africa Conference took place July 2022 to develop a framework for sustainable lagoon management. A multi-disciplinary group of academics and practitioners contributed to the discussion and development of the framework, which we hope to launch in 2023.
RLN founding member Andy Agyekumhene organised the 43rd International sea turtle symposium, held in Accra, Ghana. Andy is the president of the International Sea Turtle Society. You can find out more here: https://www.ists-symposium43.org/

The Resilient Lagoon Network were invited to share their work at the Association of Commonwealth Universities Oceans Consultation workshop. The workshop explored how universities can engage with government and civil society to inform policy relating to ocean conservation and the restoration of marine ecosystems
The Resilient Lagoon Network is supporting a special issue of the journal Anthropocene Coasts. The issue focuses in Coastal Governance in the Global South. Submissions relating to all aspects of coastal management are welcome until 1st September 2025. The journal is open access and there are no pages charges for publication. More details are available …

RLN are working with innohub to understand the journeys, successes and challenges faced by environmental entrepreneurs in Ghana. A focus group bringing together ecopreneurs was held at the innohub offices in Accra.
